My visits to Serbia and Bulgaria are defined by the time that I spend with my family. We catch up on what has gone on in our lives since the last time we visited, and I love hearing about my cousin’s experiences as we grow up in different cultures. The pictures of the cursive writing are of my late grandmother’s recipes of desserts that we loved to eat, like homemade chocolate and baklava.
